A British fashion model with famously piercing blue eyes, who walked for the likes of Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Vivienne Westwood and now the most elegant mother of two - Jade Parfitt talks us through her relationship with jewellery, how she dresses now, and why 18ct gold jewellery is the perfect gift.
In the late '90's and 2000's I was a full-time model, It was an amazing time to be in the industry and I was super lucky to spend time living in NYC and London, and travelling the world with my job. Catwalk shows were a major part of my career and I was honoured to work with some of the biggest names in the business including Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Dior, Vivienne Westwood and Louis Vuitton.
I had my first child in 2007 and took some time out to reassess how I could juggle a career with a small child, I came back to work as a presenter for Vogue and enjoyed that hugely - interviewing celebrities and designers at all the best parties and shows.
Now with a husband, three children, a puppy and a couple of cats, we moved as a family to the beautiful city of Bath four years ago, now when I work it feels more and more like time off from busy family life! I love the modelling and presenting jobs I do these days as a wonderful excuse to be creative and reconnect to the industry I still love 25 years on.

I have a few really special pieces that I wear every day - I like classic, delicate pieces that when I take them off feels like I am removing a limb if that makes sense! I suppose I choose pieces that I love so much I don't want to take them off and I don't tire of them quickly.
Last December my husband had a drawing our five year old daughter Tabitha had made of a little robot, made into a gold necklace. It's quirky and fun and something I will always treasure forever.
This year we are hosting various family lunches at our home in Bath and we are also looking forward to getting down to Devon to see some family too. We absolutely love the Christmas season and while some of our family don't feel confident having a large gathering this year we are making the most of it by having lots of small get-togethers.
There were so many gorgeous pieces I got to wear on the shoot, some stand outs for me were the 18ct Gold Sapphire Vine Bracelet, and the Aquamarine Diamond Hoops, what beautiful gifts they would make - pieces that bring joy every time you see them.
I think as you grow older your style becomes more focused, I go for more and more classic pieces that stand the test of time, choosing quality over quantity every time these days, but saying that I still think it's fun to push your own boundaries every now and then and I loved the fluffy coat I wore on the shoot for example, and while I may not get away with it on the school run, I think those feel good pieces are so uplifting to have in your closet.
I really love Annoushka's Crown rings, they are so gorgeous when you stack them and I love that if you have a few you can change the way that stack looks whenever you want. So clever, classic and cool all at once.
I love that when you gift jewellery you are giving a gift for life - jewellery is something you never grow out of and can even pass on to your children, surely that makes it one of the most sustainable gifts you can give.
