Designing a unique chain is the holy grail of any jeweller.
Designed by Annoushka and handmade by our master Goldsmiths in Arezzo, Italy – a region steeped in chain-making heritage. These designers blend exquisite craftsmanship and innovative distinction.
Annoushka first met Dino over 30 years ago when she worked with him to develop her Sweetie bracelet for Links of London. Running a family run workshop with his son Ricardo, he is one of the few goldsmiths who specialises in handmade chains and clasps and the perfect choice to help make come to life.

“It never ceases to amaze me how much care is needed to create each handmade chain. Each piece comes to life with the real care and love that a family brings.”

Each piece made by hand to perfect detail, in 14ct gold, is unique and has its own distinctive character that sets it apart from traditional machine-made chains. From selecting the right gold gauge for each link’s shape to preparing wax trees for casting individual Knuckle elements, every step — right through to polishing and the final piece — requires incredible precision. It never ceases to amaze me how much care goes into crafting each
The Process

From Wire to Master
It all begins with precious metal wire, drawn through drawplates to achieve the perfect thickness and wrapped around a gauge tool to form the shape and size. Each link is pressed, refined, and measured with a caliper for precision before being cut, creating the master for the chain.
Wax & Casting
From these masters, silicone moulds are made. Wax is injected into the moulds to form replicas, which are assembled into “wax trees.” The tree is set in specialised plaster, then heated so the wax melts away, leaving space for molten gold or silver to be poured in. Once cooled, the plaster is dissolved away, to reveal a precious metal tree of clasps or links.

Finishing Touches
The links and knuckles are carefully attached to create the chain and soldered closed. Horseshoe clasps are added to the ends of the chains and posts soldered to the earrings, before being polished to a high-shine finish. Each element is cut, polished, and checked with a magnifying loupe to ensure each link is finished well and clasps working correctly. Finally, every piece is sent from Italy to the UK Assay Office for UK hallmarking.
