The Opportunity Annoushka is looking to recruit a passionate Finance Manager to support the Finance Director and the growing business. We want our people to love working here, and to look forward to coming to work. We want to work collaboratively and autonomously and be brave about our decisions.

What you will do The successful candidate will be a confident finance business partner to senior leadership team members, and will be responsible for:

  • Financial management of the business P&L, capex, cash flow and balance sheet; this includes supporting the Finance Director to execute the strategic planning, operational planning / budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes
  • Engaging with key budget holders in support of projects and day to day service provision
  • Managing the provision of financial and operational reporting to senior management to improve performance and profitability; ultimate responsibility for quality of work produced
  • Delivering value added analysis, insight and business performance improvement; ensuring financial integrity and effective usage of the management accounts for the business.
  • Upholding a continuous improvement mindset and seeks opportunities to drive positive change in the finance department and business processes to improve efficiency.
  • Working collaboratively with department heads, and our store and concession managers.
  • Line managing and supporting the Finance Director to coach and develop the accounts assistant.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

What you will bring

  • You will have a confident, professional approach, with an interest in working in a creative business.
  • You will understand Finance is as much about opportunity as it is about control.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • You will be able to build relationships and deal confidently with people at all levels, including senior management as this will be a key part of your role.

You will:

  • Be a finance qualified professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience working in a similar role, ideally within a retail environment
  • Have a high degree of financial modelling, planning and forecasting techniques
  • Have the ability to manage process change and transformation initiatives
  • Be able to understand and communicate business strategy
  • Have experience leading a team (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong numeracy and accuracy skills
  • Demonstrable ability to organise, prioritise and manage time effectively, delivering accuracy at all times in a fast paced environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, knowledge of MS Access will be an advantage.
  • Previous financial retail experience

First Interview with the Finance Director and Managing Director. In this interview we will ask you about your CV and be keen to dig deep into areas of your experience and knowledge. We will want to understand about your ambition, passion for the role and really get an idea on you excel skills. 

Final Interview with the Finance Director and Company Chairman. Here we will seek to clarify any areas we have from your previous interviews, dig deeper into your experience and understand more about your attitude and approach to work. We will be keen to answer any questions you may have at any point along this process.
